The number one question I probably get asked, is where I find clothes in my size. I’m a size 14 on top, and 16 on bottom, and being plus size definitely doesn’t come with the disadvantages it used to when trying to find clothing in your size. In fact, there are tons of options out there now, with more and more brands extending their size range. I have listed some plus size exclusive brands, along with size inclusive brands below that are sure to have you in style all year long.
Eloquii
Eloquii is by far, hands down my favorite place to shop from for plus size clothing. Even before they had any brick and mortar stores, I would purchase their clothing online and pay the shipping costs. That’s brand loyalty if Ive ever seen one! If you are willing to pay the almost $8 shipping cost for you to get in the items! That’s not an issue now, because now they have Shoprunner available to get free shipping over a $25 purchase.
The sizing is a very true sizing. Sometimes a brand will say the size is a 14, but it really be a 10/12. I have found that Eloquii has sizing that fits perfectly on my frame. It runs true to plus size bodies. They carry sizes from 14-28 and list multiple sizing charts along with a “how to size yourself” video.
Along with their sizing, the quality of the clothing is perfection! The textiles feel like a high-end piece of clothing, but comes with a price range that is very in line with other plus size brands and affordable in my opinion. I have listed some of my wish list Eloquii items here:
Lane Bryant
The Girl with Curves and Lane Bryant collaboration with one of my favorite curvy blogger Tanesha Awasthi made me fall in love with Lane Bryant all over again. I remember Tanesha being the first plus size blogger I ever followed because I loved her modest style. Since re-discovering Lane Bryant, they have also released a collection with another one of my favorite bloggers, Rochelle Johnson. Rochelle’s collection was feminine, colorful, and I purchased 7 pieces from the collection! Yes, it was THAT good!
Lane Bryant offers clothing from sizes 12-28 and offers the sizing in regular or Petite. Recently, I needed to purchase new bras, and I decided to try Cacique, the Lane Bryant Intimate wear brand. I went into the store and was fitted for a bra by one of their bra specialists. I loved finally being able to find a bra that actually fit. I felt like I walked out with a custom-made bra!
ASOS Curve
ASOS Curve is an E-Commerce site that carries a variety of different labels under their one site. They do have a brand as well, however they carry lots of additional brands that offer clothing in plus sizes. This is where I tend to get my more adventurous pieces. For 19.99 a year, you can also get free 2-day shipping and free returns, which is a huge advantage when having different labels that all have different sizing. So by chance, if an item doesn’t fit, you can just return it. Not only do they have clothing, they have lifestyle items as well, along with men’s clothing too. If you are in the market for other items, you would be able to shop them on ASOS.com as well. To top it off, if you are a student, you can get 10% off every purchase as long as you provide proof you are a student. Here are a few items I have on my never-ending ASOS Curve wish list:
Target
Who doesn’t love Target? Target has plus size clothing that carries XL-3XL. Not every brand will carry the extended range, but a good amount of brands Target carries still do. Brands like Ava & Liv, Universal Thread, and A New Day are just a few of the many brands that Target carries available in extended sizes. The good thing is, you can shop while walking around with a diet coke and a small popcorn. Another benefit is that not only can you shop for yourself and your family, you can also grocery shop! One thing I will say to beware of is that the shipping isn’t as fast as other stores like ASOS and Nordstrom.
Nordstrom
Nordstrom has such an amazing range of plus size brands. They carry a comparable price tag with it. One of my favorite brands that Nordstrom carries in extended sizing is Eliza J. I love how feminine the dresses are.
Like ASOS, the good thing about Nordstrom is that it carries clothing for the entire family. So if you are doing the shopping for the family, you can pick up everything in one shop. You can also order online and pick up same day in store. Nordstrom has a wonderful return policy as well, so you never have to worry about clothes not fitting the way you want them to and not being able to return them.
Anthropologie
Anthropologie now carries extended sizes! Can we get a round of applause for more and more brands carrying extended sizes?! I have loved Anthropologie for years, and it used to be such a bummer just shopping for home decor items. Since the brand is size inclusive, it carries sizes from XS-3XL. What’s even better, is that their plus size range is actually tailored to fit a plus size body. That means the fit feels comfortable in the hips, in the bust area, and the entire fit is designed with a plus size body in mind. Even though Anthropologie is on the pricier end, they do have sales all the time, and the quality of clothing you are receiving, is definitely worth the price.
Dia & Co.
Dia & Co. is a styling service that sends you a box of hand-picked items straight to your doorstep. It is designed with a plus size body in mind, so the stylists have clothing ranging from 14-32! There’s absolutely no commitment, you can get a box whenever you want, and there’s always free shipping and returns. They also have active wear! If you are wanting a new pair of jeans, a dress to wear out to an event, just let your stylist know and options will come to your house without you even having to shop for it!
This outfit below is from Dia & Co. I love the floral top and these Leroy jeans are my favorite jeans! They come in a ton of different colors and washes. One thing that I think is the coolest thing about Dia & Co., is that you can now order items directly from their website. This prevents you having to wait all month for your box to arrive with the one item you want.
Stitch Fix
Torrid
Torrid has sizes that range from 10-30. Having a size 10 included into a plus size range is rare, so for all my in betweenies Torrid may be the perfect place to shop. All of Torrid’s items are very youthful and have this fun boho feel to them that I absolutely love! They care a decent sized shoe section as well that have shoe options in wide widths, which I love because I have a wide foot.
Walmart
Walmart has always been size inclusive, but they have recently begun putting out some super stylish plus size items. Earlier this year they released a range of plus size brands that have put Walmart on the map yet again for affordable clothing. The items I have purchased from Walmart won’t last forever, but with the affordable price tag, I understand I get what I pay for. This is the perfect budget friendly option for stylish trends.
I hope this list helps you if you are in the plus sizes range. I will probably continue this list in a second post because I could name so many more retailers that I have missed. It can be super overwhelming trying to find clothing in your size, but I think there’s a ton of options now for you to choose from! Just remember that no matter what size you are, you are gorgeous inside and out!
